How controlled-expansion bullets work.
Controlled-expansion bullets transmit their energy to the game's body during the deformation process. Enlarging of the diameter depends on the resistivity of the target. The bullet only releases a small amount of mass so that it's residual weight is still relatively high. This way, deep penetration and an accurate exit wound are almost always guaranteed.
